Scott is a life-long Texan, and a Baylor Bear for about half of that time. He earned BBA and MTax degrees, and maintains a CPA license in the State of Texas.
His career path includes positions at Ernst & Young, and ownership in two franchise endeavors. Scott has served Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen, TX since 1997 and is currently the Executive Pastor over Stewardship and Operations. He also has served as a Texas State Representative for District 70 for the last 9 years.

He now brings his experience in generosity ministry, planned giving, and non-cash gifts to MortarStone, where he serves as Senior Generosity Ministry Partner. In his last position, he led the development of an endowment fund which grew invested planned gifts from $300,000 to an excess of
