Marriage Preparation Seminars
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother,
and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one.”
One of life’s most beautiful and yet most challenging journeys is that of blending two lives into one through the sacrament of marriage. To support couples in preparing for this sacred commitment, our Metropolis offers Marriage Preparation Seminars, held virtually one Saturday each month from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (EST).
These engaging half-day sessions include instruction, couples activities, and group discussions that explore the nature of marriage, the challenges along the way, and practical strategies for building a strong foundation. While many couples initially express hesitation about setting aside this time, nearly all leave with new insights, gratitude for the conversations shared, and a renewed sense of purpose for their journey together.
Most participants are navigating interfaith relationships or are overwhelmed with the logistics of planning their wedding. These seminars provide a much-needed pause to reflect on the deeper meaning of marriage—conversations that many couples may not otherwise make time for.

- A second email will be sent before the seminar date, including the workbook and Zoom link.
As part of our expanding ministry, couples have also expressed interest in additional retreats. Plans are underway to launch an overnight “Marriage Enrichment” Program, to be offered several times a year at the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center in New Hampshire. Metropolitan Methodios is committed to ongoing programs in Family Ministry, including Marriage Enrichment, Family Camps, and Young Adult Ministry.
