Apoorva Deshpande
VOCALIST
Apoorvaa Deshpande has been fortunate to be born in a musical family and has been a student of music since her childhood. She has been learning Hindustani classical music under the tutelage of her mother Smt. Meenal Deshpande, a prominent vocalist of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana, an All India Radio top graded artist.
Apoorvaa is a recipient of the prestigious CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources & Training) scholarship by the Government of India for her music.

Haman Hai Ishq..
Haman Hai Ishq Mastana by the Anirudh Varma Collective performed live on 7th January at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi at our recent production - Kahat Kabir. Originally composed by the legendary Pt. Madhup Mudgal, 'Haman hain' describes Sant Kabir's state of utter freedom and aloofness from attachments from the world.

Kabir's Nirbhay Nirgun
Nirbhay Nirgun is Anirudh Varma Collective's rendition and interpretation of the 15th century Kabir Bhajan, performed live on 7th January at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi at our recent production - Kahat Kabir. Originally composed by the legendary Pt. Kumar Gandharva, In Nirbhay Nirgun, Kabir describes the journey of a spiritual seeker, pointing out that getting over fear is the first step towards seeking the ultimate. “Nirbhay Nirgun Gun Re Gaunga,” he says, which means, “I will fearlessly sing the attributes of the one without attributes.”
