Girls STEAM Summit
Join Michigan Central and its network of experts to explore what a future in STEAM might hold
The Girls STEAM Summit is an immersive, day-long experience at Michigan Central designed to deepen curiosity, build confidence, and help 6th–8th grade girls make real-world connections to STEAM disciplines.
At school, students explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math —but recognizing how those skills and how their natural curiosities can translate into creativity, problem-solving, and future opportunities that match their interests isn’t always as clear.
Through hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, youth-centered conversations, and exposure to real practitioners, the Summit bridges that gap. Participants experience STEAM as something tangible, relevant, and empowering— learning more about how their curiosities can shape their future, how STEAM shows up in everyday life, and how their unique strengths connect to diverse pathways they can see, feel, and imagine themselves stepping into.
The Girls STEAM Summit is on Pi Day (March 14) from 10-4 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m.
Parents/Guardians: While students participate in STEAM workshops, you are invited to attend three parent-only sessions designed to provide tools, information, and resources to support their child’s educational and career journey.
Please register yourself ONLY if you plan to attend the adult sessions.
