She touched so many lives and was such a gift to all who knew her.
All are invited to celebrate Megan with us.

For the safety and peace of mind of all attendees, we ask that you please take an at home COVID test the morning of the celebration.
Please remember to bring your ID if you would like to have any alcoholic beverages (required by venue).

Obituary

Megan Elizabeth Nowak, 27, passed away on December 29th, 2021 in Boston, MA, surrounded by family, after a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer. Megan was born in Portland, Maine on May 7th, 1994. She was the beloved daughter of Michael and Beth Nowak and sister of Victoria Nowak. 
 
Megan attended Charlotte Country Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated in 2013. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and then went on to earn a Doctorate in Pharmacy from South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2019. Following her graduation, she started a Pharmacy Residency program at the Veterans Administration Healthcare System in Boston. 
 
Megan was a sweet and caring, beautiful young woman. She was a bright light to all around her and loved spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She always looked out for the people in her life. Megan played lacrosse and volleyball in high school. She also enjoyed going to concerts and listening to country music. Megan was a frequent volunteer at several animal shelters and rescued her cat Arie. 
 
She loved her summers in Belgrade Lakes, Maine, enjoying time with family and friends. She spent time on the lake tubing, water skiing and wakeboarding. Her favorite Maine foods were lobster, blueberry pie and Day’s donuts. She also enjoyed hiking on French’s Mountain.
 
Megan’s love for travel started from a young age and she travelled to over 20 countries. These included family trips, school exchange programs in middle and high school, and a pharmacy rotation in Uganda in 2019 through One World Health. 
 
Megan is survived by her parents Michael and Beth Nowak and her sister Victoria Nowak of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her grandmother Nancy Udall of Mansfield, MA and her grandfather Donald Nowak and his wife Maggie of St. Augustine, FL. 
 
Megan is survived by her aunt and uncle Deborah and Philip Graham of Mansfield, MA and their children Philip (wife Christine) and Curtis; her aunt and uncle Donna and Bruce Nilson of Harrisburg, PA and their children Bruce (wife Nancy and children William and Alden),  Emily (husband Crosby Hiss and daughter Cameron) and Andrew (wife Marie); her aunt Lori Kennedy of Santa Fe, NM and her children Christian, Kyra and Gabrielle; and her second cousin Joana Ernst of Wülfrath, Germany. 
 
Megan was predeceased by her grandfather William Udall and grandmother Barbara Gaydos.

Who is invited to the Celebration of Life?
Anyone who would like to celebrate Megan's life is welcome (please RSVP so we can get an accurate head count).

What is the dress code?
Dressy casual (no need to wear black unless that's your color and you love wearing black).

What will the Celebration of Life entail?
There will be a 2pm service followed by a reception with food and drinks from 3-5pm (please bring an ID if you would like an alcoholic beverage as it is required by the venue).
What are the COVID precautions?
For the safety and peace of mind of all attendees, we ask that you please take an at home COVID test the morning of the celebration.
