2023 WIC Industry Event
A/E/C women are invited to join us Tuesday, March 7th to celebrate Women in Construction (WIC) at our annual WIC Industry Event!

As part of Mortenson’s continued commitment to WIC Week, taking place this year between March 5-11, we are once again hosting this event to bring together women in our industry to connect, learn and empower - all while collectively reinforcing a more inclusive, resilient and equitable future.

Enjoy food, drinks and great networking with the women and leadership teams from Mortenson Denver, and YOU, the women we gain inspiration from in the construction industry.

New this year, our event is collecting sponsors with proceeds to benefit three local organizations that Mortenson regularly supports, each promoting education and introducing young girls to careers in construction: Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, STEMblazers, and Transportation & Construction Girl.

Benefiting
With your allyship, we will continue to build a stronger, more diverse workforce, and pave the way for a bright and welcoming future for our industry for generations to come.
Girls Inc. of Metro Denver serves girls ages 6-20 in the Denver-Metro area. Their research-based programming is delivered by trained professionals who focus on the development of the whole girl, supporting, mentoring, and guiding girls in an affirming, pro-girl environment. Girls learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate the challenges they face.

The mission of STEMblazers is to empower high school and middle school girls to pursue STEM careers by providing networking and interactive career exploration activities with professional women in STEM industries. Founded in 2014, the organization inspires girls to envision themselves in science, technology, engineering and math professions.  Learn more here.
The HOYA Foundation started Transportation & Construction GIRL to encourage more young women to pursue careers in transportation and construction. They provide year-round programs that include videos, interactive webinars, contests and opportunities to meet one-on-one with successful women in the industry.  And there is no charge to any young woman for these programs.
