National Apprenticeship Week is held in honor of the 85th Anniversary of the National Apprenticeship Act the U.S. Department of Labor is hosting the 8th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW). NAW is a nationwide celebration established by the U.S. Department of Labor where industry, equity, workforce, education, and government leaders host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for rebuilding our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and building a pipeline to good quality jobs, and supporting underserved communities.

Purpose: “Demystifying Apprenticeships” is a Career expo intended to educate attendees about apprenticeships and offer the opportunity to connect with companies that offer apprenticeships or job opportunities that lead to apprenticeships. The companies that have been invited to attend the event are business partners of HFC’s Trade and Apprentice department that have registered apprenticeship programs with the Department of Labor. These companies also send their apprentices to HFC for related training instruction.
