Testimonials
If you truly want to practice Tai Chi - there's no empty choreography here - this is the real stuff! You'll learn Clear Style Tai Chi and it will include the healing aspects as well as the martial applications. Frequently those who want to practice Tai Chi just for health make the mistake of not learning what the postures can do from a martial perspective. Without that understanding, you will not have the proper alignments and overall body structure - which is crucial to receiving the health benefits. Harry is an amazing teacher and I feel honored to be studying with him.

Getting old is just not that fun. Now in my early 50's with aches in my knee caps and feet, I wanted to find a fitness program that I can practice for the rest of my active life, and I thought about giving Tai Chi a try. After some extensive research, I chose New Jersey Tai Chi because it provides the most holistic approach that I have found. And when I say holistic, I really mean it. For example, in the short time that I have been practicing with Harry, Paul, and others, I am learning not just the movements and breathing, but also leveraging the strength of my entire body. In addition to the physical movements, I am also learning to focus with my mind on the flow of energy and listening through Push Hands with my mind's eye. Furthermore, in every class, Harry demonstrates the application of those elegant flows into practical and powerful self-defense tactics. It's too early to tell the full health benefits yet, but I feel more agile, more mentally alert, and Tai Chi is now becoming a part of my routine.

I love Tai Chi and I really love Sifu Harry Legg!
I'm a new Tai Chi student, but a very long time and accomplished student of Yoga. As a Yoga Therapist from "the old days" I have not been able to find what I was looking for to continue to advance my personal journey in that world.
I came to New Jersey Tai Chi at the recommendation of my acupuncturist and have been completely taken with it! I'm learning physical and energetic practices that began to help me feel stronger and more aligned right away. I'm advancing my knowledge of energetics and mental practices that I can no longer find in the current world of yoga. And these practices are helping to improve my work as a Somatic & Yoga Therapist. It's really been a fabulous upgrade to my daily routine.
Sifu Harry is a fabulous teacher and so are his colleagues, Phil, Paul, & Steve.
