2:00pm – Smarter Athlete Monitoring & Youth Development - Gavin Crowley
Do you ever wonder if your athletes are training smart or just training more? Are you seeing signs of burnout, constant injuries or players who are simply doing too much?
Gavin opens the day by showing you how to track the things that really matter for youths. Training load, recovery, injuries, growth and maturation so that development becomes safe, structured and sustainable. This session will show how proper monitoring protects athletes during key growth phases, prevents avoidable injuries. Ultimately leading to long term sustainability and enjoyment.
3:00pm – Building Athletes, Not Just Players - Jack Brogan
Are we genuinely building athletes, or just running players into the ground? Are we managing load to make them stronger, faster and harder to injure, or simply hoping they don’t break?
Jack explores what real strength and conditioning looks like for both adult athletes and teams within GAA, specifically covering both codes male and female. Diving into how to develop speed, strength, movement and power, not just for the next match, but for long-term performance. This section is about building robust athletes who can sprint, lift, change direction and withstand contact without breaking down.
4:00pm – Winning the Inner Game - Dan Glynn
What helps some athletes stay composed and consistent when it matters most? And what are the parts of the performance pillars that don’t show up on a GPS, in the gym or on a stats sheet?
This session strips it back to the core of what makes great players and great teams: character, composure, belief and the ability to perform in the moments that matter. Dan will introduce the Mental Performance Pathway he uses with athletes and teams, a practical framework that shows how mindset can be developed just like strength or skill. It’s about moving beyond what we can see physically, and understanding the unseen habits, behaviours and standards that make performance consistent. You’ll learn how to begin applying this in yourself, your coaching and your team environment.
