In 1945, Nancy Hedrick walked in the doors of Fayetteville High School as a schoolgirl.  It was then that she began her life-long educational career as an FHS/FTS Bulldog, both as a student and an educator.

Nancy Hedrick Blackmon touched many lives and influenced many Bulldog alumni during her career as a teacher, administrator, friend, parent, and grandparent at FTS. She epitomized the heritage of Terry Sanford High School in tradition, pride, and spirit, and left an enduring legacy at Fayetteville Terry Sanford.

Since 2016, the Nancy H. Blackmon Legacy Scholarship has been awarded in honor of Nancy Blackmon's devout Bulldog values. Each year, one FTS graduating senior, who is the child or grandchild of a Fayetteville Terry Sanford High School alumnus, receives a scholarship for $1000 (4-year College or University) or $500 (Community College).

Our goal is to raise $25,000.00 to endow this scholarship. An endowment would create a perpetual gift to be awarded to a Terry Sanford graduating senior.

Please join us this year for the 3rd annual golf tournament! Play will be Captain’s Choice with 4-person teams. You may either sign up individually ($80/person), in which case you will be placed with 3 other players, or as a full team of four ($300/team). Tournament check-in and a light breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
