The Maryland Fire and Explosive Investigators Association (MFEIA) is excited to offer members an opportunity to tour the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) campus, hear from researchers on various projects conducted at NIST, and visit their museum. This is a unique learning opportunity to understand the latest developments in fire safety engineering, fire fighting, fire investigation, fire testing, fire data management, and intentional burning.

Registration is limited to 25 attendees. Registration closes on September 9, 2024, at 5 pm. Please register using your legal name, as it will be provided to NIST security. There is plenty of parking at the main building. However, carpooling may be needed for some campus sites, as parking is limited at some locations. Attendees are encouraged to drive a vehicle that could assist with carpooling. We will begin the day with sign-in for visitor badges at 100 Bureau Drive at 8:30 am.

This free event is expected to last a half-day. No lunch will be provided.
