A private reception for our sponsors held prior to the event to get acquainted with the NNBCAS board and meet our Keynote Speakers. Entertainment provided by the Reno Jazz Syndicate.

Digital PRe Show
The Beginning of our Digital Celebration begins with an  Interactive Pre Show, featuring some of our prominent community members and live music spinning by DJ RYON

This year we are doing something different! We have selected 5 community members to offer Small keynotes throughout the evening, that touch on the five focal points which frame our new Reimagining Initiative.  These members will give great insight to these areas, evoke change, and inspire our community and abroad!

Every year, we strive to acknowledge members of our community who make it a better place, Please nominate the person/people you feel are most qualified for these positions. Awardees will be announced during the Gala.

The Deadline for Nominations is JANUARY 6,2023
Community Service award

Qualifications are:

- Outstanding Personal Acts; Review acts of courage vision, dedication and tenacity.

- Is there anything outstanding, unique heroic about the nominee and his/her character?

- Community Impact: public service is about serving people and communities.

- Has the nominee addressed important issues facing local communities or the country?

- Has the nominee had a measurable impact?

Youth/Young Adult Leadership Award

Qualifications are:

- Has demonstrated and/or is demonstrating leadership with other youth, either in school or community programs.

- Leadership skills may include initiative, dedication, integrity, acceptance of responsibility and teamwork.

- May be demonstrating commitment to affecting positive change and building bridges among cultures and community, either as a leader or volunteer.

- Has been successful in implementing what they learned in school programs to reach personal or career goals and/or make significant changes in life

- Has overcome personal challenges and obstacles in achieving

Black Business
Excellence award

Qualifications are:

- Business is at least Majority owned by a person who is Black/African American

- Business does NOT have to be a Brick and Mortar company, Freelancers, and independent businesses
do qualify

- Business Owner has exuded excellent measures of Customer Service

- Business Owner has in operation for two years or more, or has made a great impact in the community in a brief time.
