Welcome to the Cary Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, and Cary Police Department’s 2025 National Night Out Event website. This is our 14th year hosting this event in Cary, and this year’s event will be held on Thursday August 7th, starting at 6:30pm and concluding at 9:15pm with a fireworks send off!

The First Responder portion of our event will be held in the lower Police Department parking lot area of the new Cary Municipal Center, located at 755 Industrial Drive. Squad cars, fire trucks, Public Works and Township vehicles will be on display for guests to explore. Have your cameras ready for some candid moments with your family as they sit in the driver seat of a patrol car or fire engine! Meet your community first responders and be sure to stop inside the Municipal Center for a tour of the police department. There will also be a police drone presentation & LifeNet will be landing a helicopter on site at 7:30pm. The police department will be hosting a dunk tank, where you can attempt to dunk the Deputy Chief! (Donations appreciated to raise funds for Citizen Police Academy Alumni initiatives) Free popcorn available at the Cary Explorer's booth!

Make sure to get your FREE raffle ticket and enter to win 1 of 10 brand new bicycles! Bikes range in size from toddler to adult, 1 ticket per person.

Our participating businesses and vendors will be in the Kaper Park parking lot, located directly South of the Police Department on Georgetown Drive. This lot will also host a corral of over 10 food trucks, with a variety of food and drink options for purchase including; Girls got Balls, Serna's Grill, Your Sister's Tomato, Kona Ice and Hello Boba. Diner's will have the option to utilize table seating under the Township tent and in the Kaper Pavilion to sit and eat in the shade. The Kaper Park restrooms will be open for use. (Note: the restrooms inside the Cary Municipal Center will not be open to public use.) Children are also welcome to utilize the playground area and splash pad. There will also be games and inflatables near the dining tent area. The Kaper Park parking lot will be closed to all traffic beginning at 4pm on Thursday August 7th. We ask that you park your personal vehicles at one of our remote locations at 770 Industrial or on the streets of either Georgetown Drive, Industrial Drive or New Haven Drive, which are all adjacent to the event location. (SEE PARKING TAB FOR FURTHER PARKING INFO) Food Trucks will be the only vehicles allowed in the vendor lot. Additional parking and handicapped spaces available in the upper Municipal Center parking lot.

Parking for Cary's National Night Out is available at 770 Industrial (no earlier than 5:30pm) as well as in the North Municipal parking lot. Space is limited and offered as first come, first served. On street parking is recommended, and can be located on the following streets:

Please note, certain street parking is prohibited where posted. There is NO PARKING allowed on the roadway of Cimarron Drive adjacent to Kaper Park. Cimarron Drive between Ashfork Trail and Georgetown Drive will be closed to all traffic between 9pm and 9:30 for fireworks.

The Cary Police Department would like to remind everyone to drive cautiously when departing the event. Attendance at NNO is expected to be large and pedestrians may be crossing the roadways to return to their vehicles.

In partnership with our corporate sponsors, the Cary Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association is proud to offer our annual Bike Raffle at National Night Out! Raffle tickets are absolutely FREE! Visit the Bike Raffle booth located at the Cary Municipal Center during National Night Out to claim your free raffle ticket and enter for your chance to win a new bicycle and helmet.

There will be many different meal options to choose from, Food trucks will be located in the Kaper Park parking lot. Pavilion seating and public restrooms are also available on site.

Lifenet helicopter landing: The lifenet team from airmethods will be landing at kaper park at 7:30pm! meet the crew and explore the aircraft!

DJ Chris Capcik will be the event emcee & he will be spinning music all event long in the municipal center lot. stop by the dj booth to make music requests or a shout out for your first responders!

meet your community first responders! we will have police cars, fire trucks, public works and township vehicles on display. explore the vehicles and meet the men and women in uniform who go to work for you every day!

National Night Out will be held in the lower (south) parking lot of the Cary Municipal Center and at Kaper Park. Police, Fire and Public Works vehicles will be on display in the municipal lot. Food trucks, games and vendor booths will be located at Kaper Park, as well as the picnic pavilion and restrooms. Kaper Park is located adjacent to the south of the Municipal Center.

Event set up begins at 5:30pm, the parking lot of Kaper Park will be closed to traffic beginning at 4pm.

Vendor set up for National Night Out begins at 5:30pm. The vendor area is located at Kaper Park, in the lawn area adjacent to the parking lot. Look for one of our volunteers wearing a yellow shirt to assist with locating your booth space. Please note, the parking lot will be occupied by food trucks and loading/unloading will be limited in access. It is suggested to bring tables and chairs, as we will only have a limited supply at the venue.
