National Public Lands Day
Saturday September 26th at 8:30am
Pumphouse Recreation Area
Thanks for joining us for the 5th Annual Upper Colorado River Cleanup with Protect Our Rivers and BLM! We’re excited to spend the weekend celebrating Colorado’s rivers, public lands, and 150th anniversary with all of you.

All volunteers must select one cleanup section for Saturday’s river cleanup. Please read the descriptions below first and choose which one is right for you. All of the cleanups will end at the same time so everyone can enjoy the afterparty.

ON LAND CLEANUP
Trash that starts on land ends up in the water and we need a strong land-based crew to help clean up the roads and trails near the river. Help us clean up along the Colorado Headwaters National Scenic and Historic Byway and stop trash before it gets into the Colorado River!
PUMPHOUSE TO RADIUM
Pumphouse to Radium is a 4 mile stretch with two Class II rapids, and one Class III (Needle's Eye). Each year we find a little less trash —but it still needs our care. We’ll focus on micro-trash, leftover charcoal, and dismantling abandoned campfire rings to help keep this well-loved section beautiful.
RADIUM
TO RANCHO
This is a 6-mile float with two Class II rapids and one Class III rapid (Yarmony) If you are up for spending a little more time on the river and clearing out what others have left behind, join us for this stretch!
RANCHO TO STATE BRIDGE
Colorado River Outfitters has cleaned up this stretch in previous years, and this year we’re opening it up so you can join! This is a scenic 4-mile float featuring just one mild Class II rapid. It’s a great option for families with kids or those who really want to dig in and come back with a large trash haul.
