Multicultural Wellness Network is hosting the Northwest Indiana Health Summit. Guest will have the opportunity to listen to some of Indiana’s prominent health and community professional discuss the issues commonly affecting not just the residents of Northwest Indiana but the country as a whole. We are bringing resources to address the topics of :

  * Mental Health-Depression

  * Vaping/smoking
A Look Back When We Were Together 2019!
In 2019 We came together to talk about  issues affecting Northwest Indiana as a whole, not just one city or town. We brought together the health experts and community members to work on real solutions to real problems. Check it out!

Keynote Speaker
Dr. Eric Yazel
Health Officer of Clark County, Indiana Health Dept.
Dr. Eric Yazel graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Biology, followed by a M.A. in Clinical Physiology from Ball State University.

He received his Medical Degree from the University of Louisville and completedhis residency in Emergency Medicine there as well, serving as Chief Resident. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville as well as an Attending Physician at Clark Memorial Emergency Department. He also serves at the Clark County Health Officer, Chief Medical Officer for LifeSpring Health Systems, Chief Medical Officer for BluMine Health, Chief Tactical Physician for the Jeffersonville Police Department, and Medical Director of Meade County EMS.

Eric was born in northern Indiana and grew up in Indianapolis. He has been a Clark County resident since 2006. He enjoys traveling, basketball, and all things outdoors, especially spending time on his farm in Borden with his wife and two children.



Moderator
Kimberly Boone
Kimberly is a licensed clinical therapist and has been in the field of mental health and addictions for over 19 years. She has a passion for helping others reach their full potential and meeting people right where they are. Kimberly is dedicated and devoted to this field and has served in various settings and roles in order to make the most effective change in those capacities. Kimberly is clinically trained to treat and assess various mental health disorders.
Kimberly specializes in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, marriage and family, as well as, addressing spirituality and cultural issues through individual, couples, family, group, and coaching sessions. Kimberly has experience working with individuals from all age groups, as well as, various ethnic, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds. She believes in treating the whole person and feels that we are connected through our mind, bodies, and spirits. Kimberly is also a certified master life coach and has vast experience in public speaking and consulting. She is the owner and founder of Mental Chatter, LLC. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and is currently a doctoral student.
