OnTAP: Real-Time Feasibility &
Live Design Workflows
A focused workshop on the evolving intersection of design, data, and artificial intelligence.
Join the AIA San Diego TAP Committee for a focused session on real-time feasibility and live design workflows with TestFit and Snaptrude. This session will explore how teams can study sites faster, iterate live, and make real-time decisions during early design. Through live demonstrations and a practice-based keynote, we’ll look at how these workflows are changing the way architects, developers, and contractors evaluate projects.

TestFit is a real estate feasibility platform that enables architects, developers, and contractors to rapidly generate and evaluate site layouts in real time. By combining site constraints, zoning, and financial inputs, TestFit allows teams to test multiple scenarios, optimize yield, and validate whether a project “pencils” early in the process. The platform supports rapid iteration and live decision-making, helping teams move from site analysis to actionable concepts in hours instead of weeks.

Snaptrude is a browser-based design platform that bridges conceptual design and BIM, allowing architects to move from early ideas to data-rich building models in real time. It combines intuitive 2D/3D modeling with live-linked program data, enabling teams to iterate quickly while tracking area, zoning, and performance metrics as they design. With real-time collaboration and seamless export to tools like Revit, Snaptrude supports faster, more informed decision-making during the earliest stages of a project.

Speakers
Altaf Ganihar
Founder and CEO of Snaptrude
With a background in computational design, geometry, and computer graphics, Altaf focuses on developing tools that enable faster iteration, real-time collaboration, and data-driven decision-making in building design.
He has led Snaptrude’s growth over the past seven years, building a global team and securing venture funding to support the platform’s development. His work is centered on modernizing design workflows and advancing a more efficient and connected approach to the built environment.
Sami Khoury, AIA
Principal & Market Leader AC Martin
Sami is a Principal and San Diego Market Leader at AC Martin, where he focuses on real-time feasibility, early-stage yield strategies, and development advisory across the West Coast. He serves as Principal-in-Charge on multiple active projects and brings extensive experience in mixed-use and multifamily developments with national developers.
His work centers on connecting design, data, and deal-making—helping teams evaluate sites, iterate quickly, and make real-time decisions at the earliest stages of a project. He is also actively involved with AIA San Diego as Practice Co-Director, contributing to conversations around technology and the future of architectural practice.
Jack Joers
Vice President of Product at TestFit
With a background in urban planning and development, Jack brings experience from both the developer and technology sides of the industry, including prior work in site planning at Brookfield Properties.
At TestFit, he focuses on advancing tools that allow teams to evaluate more opportunities, test multiple scenarios in real time, and uncover value in sites that might otherwise be overlooked. His work centers on bridging traditional development processes with faster, data-driven feasibility workflows.
Join us for this hands-on workshop exploring how AI is transforming architectural design and workflows.
