Dr. Somi Javaid, a board certified OBGYN, is a leading women’s sexual health provider and thought leader. Dr. Javaid earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was Chief Resident. Dr. Javaid completed her preceptorship at the San Diego Institute of Sexual Medicine and is a NAMS (North American Menopause Society) and ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health) graduate.
In 2015, Dr. Javaid founded HERmd, a sexual health and gynecology office and wellness center located in Cincinnati that takes insurance. She leads female focused research, trains physicians and advises the FDA on emerging treatments. Dr. Javaid also travels around the country teaching and training physicians about the latest developments and treatments for women’s sexual health. She is also a speaker for the #righttodesire campaign. Dr. Javaid’s mission is to close the gender gap and to provide all women with access to exceptional healthcare. Her goal is to educate, advocate for, and empower women.

Devin is currently a licensed federal criminal defense attorney who practices in Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. At Howard, Devin also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Devin later went on to earn both her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center. Devin has advocated on behalf of marginalized populations in the courtroom her entire legal career; it was not until her own experience with fibroids that she learned the importance of advocating for women in the doctor's office as well.
