Join Us for Wyoming Independent Living’s 9th Annual Peer Advocacy Conference!

Wyoming Independent Living is excited to invite you to our 9th Annual Peer Advocacy Conference, taking place August 12–14 at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center.

If you are an individual with a disability who wants to learn more about advocacy, build your skills, or connect with peers from across the state, this conference is for you!
This year’s theme, Voices of Change, highlights the power of self-advocacy and community impact. You will hear from self-advocates throughout Wyoming who will share their experiences and perspectives on important disability and advocacy issues, including:
  • Disability advocacy and social media
  • Reducing stigma and ableism
  • Voting accessibility
  • Rural healthcare and healthcare accessibility
  • Advocacy and support
  • The Disability Rights Movement
  • Using your voice
  • Disaster preparedness
  • Youth Night

In addition to informative sessions, the conference will feature activities and social events, offering opportunities to network, learn, and have fun.

Travel stipends are available for individuals with disabilities.
