PBS After Dark
The Future of Specialist Behaviour Intervention starts with a conversation.
Join us for a clinical salon-style evening exploring professional identity, expert practice and leadership in PBS over the next five years.
About the Event

PBS After Dark isn't your standard CPD session. Think fewer slides, more conversation. We're bringing together proficient, advanced and specialist PBS practitioners, clinical leads, practice owners and directors, and allied health professionals for an evening built around one big question: Where is specialist behaviour intervention heading, and what does that mean for how we practise, lead and grow?

Expect honest discussion, sharp thinking and the kind of room where ideas actually get tested. Salon-style means small enough to be real, structured enough to stay focused.

Ticket Info

$24 gets you in the room, plus food and drinks on us for the evening. Spots are limited to keep the discussion sharp and the room genuinely conversational, so grab your ticket early!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is PBS After Dark?
PBS After Dark is an evening designed exclusively for Positive Behaviour Support practitioners to connect with peers, share experiences, and have honest conversations about the realities of practice in a relaxed environment.

Is this a formal presentation or CPD event?
No. This isn't a conference or lecture. It's a facilitated networking evening focused on meaningful discussion, professional connection, and learning from one another through conversation.

Who can attend?
The event is for Positive Behaviour Support practitioners and invited professionals working within the disability sector.

What will we be talking about?
We'll explore the real-world challenges PBS practitioners face every day, including complexity, ethical decision-making, working in MDT, wellbeing and avoiding burnout, and practical strategies. The conversation is designed to be thoughtful, respectful and engaging without becoming controversial or divisive.

Can I bring a colleague?
If they work in Positive Behaviour Support or a closely related discipline, we'd love to have them. Please ensure they're registered so we can cater appropriately.

Will participant cases be discussed?
We encourage sharing experiences and lessons learned while maintaining professional confidentiality at all times. Please avoid sharing any identifying participant information.

What's the dress code?
Come as you are. Think after-work drinks rather than corporate conference.

What's the atmosphere like?
Imagine a modern speakeasy. Low lighting, quiet background music, comfortable seating, and plenty of opportunities for genuine conversation without shouting across the room.

Will there be allocated seating?
No. The evening is designed to encourage networking, so you're welcome to move around and join different conversations throughout the event.

Do I need to prepare anything?
Just bring yourself and an openness to share ideas, ask questions and connect with fellow PBS practitioners.

Is there parking available?
Parking details will be provided with your event confirmation closer to the date.

How long does the event run?
Guests are welcome to arrive from 5.30 pm, with conversations continuing throughout the evening in a relaxed, drop-in style.

Why should I come?
Because the best conversations often happen after hours. PBS After Dark is a chance to step away from reports and appointments, connect with people who understand the work you do, exchange ideas, and leave feeling inspired, supported and part of a stronger professional community.

The future of PBS won't get decided in a boardroom. It gets shaped in rooms like this one, by the people doing the work. Come pull up a seat.
