Join us for the first session of PetMedic Pathways, a free monthly STEM series designed for high school students interested in animal health, science, and careers in veterinary medicine.

Whether you dream of becoming a veterinarian, veterinary technician, wildlife rehabilitator, or simply love animals and science, this interactive program will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the veterinary profession.

This Month's Topic:
Exploring Careers in Veterinary Medicine

Learn about the many career paths available in veterinary medicine, including:
Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Sonographers, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Managers, Client Service Representatives, Specialists, Emergency & Critical Care, Shelter Medicine, Research, Wildlife, Zoo Medicine, and more

We'll tour the entire veterinary hospital, overview equipment, discuss educational pathways, what a typical day looks like, salary expectations, specialties, and the skills needed to succeed in this growing field.

By the end of the session students should be able to:

• Explain at least six careers in veterinary medicine.
• Describe how science and technology are used in veterinary care.
• Use observation and evidence to solve a patient case.
• Work together like a veterinary team.

Students are welcome to attend one session or the entire series throughout the school year. Each workshop stands on its own, so you won't fall behind if you miss one. Earn a certificate of completion for each session or a special certificate for the series if you attend all 9 sessions.

This program is for high school students (grades 9–12) with an interest in STEM, biology, veterinary science, or imaging technology.
