Join us for the second session of PetMedic Pathways, a free monthly STEM series designed for high school students interested in animal health, science, and careers in veterinary medicine.
Whether you dream of becoming a veterinarian, veterinary technician, wildlife rehabilitator, or simply love animals and science, this interactive program will give you a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most important skills every veterinary professional uses, performing a physical exam and assessing a patient's health.

Physical Exam & Patient Assessment
Discover how veterinarians evaluate patients before running laboratory tests or taking X-rays. Learn how observation, anatomy, physiology, and critical thinking come together to help veterinary teams identify illness and create diagnostic plans.
We'll explore the head-to-tail physical examination, discuss what veterinarians look for during every patient visit, review normal versus abnormal findings, learn about vital signs, and work through real patient cases using clinical reasoning. Students will also participate in interactive simulation stations using veterinary equipment and assessment techniques.
