Veteran Retreat
Homeward Bound Adirondacks in collaboration with LHF Veterans Initiative would like to invite you to a Veteran Retreat. The retreat will be Nov 17-19, 2023 at the Irondequoit Inn in Piseco, NY. Register now and join us for a weekend of nature therapy in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Meet and recreate with other veterans.
Vets Helping Vets
Veterans build resilience and support networks through peer to peer discussions and activities. Retreats offer an opportunity to build comradery with other Vets while relaxing in a wilderness environment.
Cost?
Retreats are free once people arrive - however we are not in a position to pay for transportation to get to and from the retreat venue.
Confirmation
We genuinely wish we could accommodate every veteran who expresses interest. However, it's essential to note that our retreats have limited capacity to ensure a meaningful and personalized experience for each participant. When you RSVP and receive your email confirmation, please consider it your interim approval. However, our commitment to making the best possible experience means that a dedicated Case Manager will reach out to you. They will engage in a conversation to understand more about your military service and the afflictions you've noted in your RSVP. The Case Manager's assessment and discussion will be the final determining factor in your participation. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to create an unforgettable retreat experience tailored to your needs.
Waiting List
If you are unable to RSVP, then this retreat has reached its maximum capacity of veteran participants. There will be a waiting list. If there are any cancellations, those first on the waiting list, will be offered these on first come basis. Feel free to contact Homeward Bound Adirondacks to get on the waiting list
Cancelations
If you need to cancel, please cancel with
HBA as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the day before the retreat. An empty RSVP is one veteran who misses out.
Alcohol and Drugs Policy
At Homeward Bound Adirondacks, we are deeply committed to the well-being and healing of our veteran participants who are bravely facing the challenges of PTSD. To ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all, we have implemented a policy regarding alcohol and drugs at our retreats, reflecting our dedication to your recovery journey.

Prescribed Medications:We understand that some veterans may require prescribed medications as part of their treatment plan. In such cases, we encourage you to reach out to our
Case Manager. Your well-being is our priority, and we will work closely with you to ensure that your specific needs are met in a safe and supportive manner.
Thank you for entrusting us with your healing journey. We are here to support you every step of the way, and our commitment to your recovery is unwavering. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us."
