Prog On The Ranch 2022
DATE / ADDRESS: "Prog On The Ranch" will take place on Thursday, April 28th, Friday April 29th, and Saturday April 30th. Our address is: The Crimson Sky Ranch, 18733 Phillips Rd, Masaryktown, FL 34604. Gates will open each day at 8:00am.
NOTE: We strongly suggest that all musicians who are performing on The Grid arrive on Thursday, April 28th or plan to be here very early on Friday morning as the live music will begin at approximately 9:30am.
Thursday April 28th is our load-in day for tent campers and those with RV's to set up. All are welcome to join us as we set up the stages, do sound checks for each featured band, and get everything ready to go for the weekend. For this 1st get-together of the weekend, we will be serving up a huge barbeque lunch/dinner for whoever is here, and plan on lots of impromptu live music on our new "acoustic & open-mic stage" in the pasture throughout Thursday afternoon, and around the fire-pit on Thursday night. The music will begin on Friday & Saturday at approximately 9:30am (weather permitting), and will continue until sometime between 9pm & 11pm. This is a one-of-a-kind event, the main genre being progressive rock (which is how this whole thing began), but many different genre's of music will be performed by 70+ musicians from from all over the USA and beyond!!
We will have two stages, fully equipped with pro sound & lighting. A team of Stage Coordinators as well as excellent Sound & Lighting Engineers, will all work together to keep the music flowing efficiently, and sounding great! Since we have TWO FULL DAYS of performances here at the ranch, we should be able to perform approximately 95 songs on The Grid (depending on the average song length). This would be at an approximate 5 to 7 song per hour pace, which should ensure that all songs will get played. This is dependent on the weather being favorable of course.
FOOD, ETC: A full country breakfast/brunch buffet will be served from 9:00am until 10:30am on Friday & Saturday morning. We will also have three excellent food vendors on the property with a great selection of food and beverages from Noon until 9pm. We will not be serving alcoholic drinks but you're welcome to bring your own. If you have any special dietary needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Bottled water, coffee & tea will be available at no cost all day and evening.
COST: There is one single fee of just $60 per person at the gate, (or $55 advance purchase) for the entire event (including breakfast both days, plus all-day country barbeque on set-up day). The fee will help us recover a percentage of the costs involved.... these include ongoing stage construction, food, drinks, band fees, equipment rental, sound, lighting, seating, power, sanitary facilities, clean-up & septic services, reseeding the pasture, and so much more.
TRANSPORTATION & HOTEL: The best way to get here from Tampa Airport is to take Uber, a taxi, or another car service. If you are renting a car, we're really easy to find, just be sure you have GPS, or call us for the best directions. We're around 35 miles north of the Tampa Airport via the Suncoast Parkway. Lots of people are flying into Tampa the night before the event. It may be easier than you think to arrange a carpool with some of the other attendees. Post some messages on the "Prog On The Ranch Facebook Page" to help facilitate that.
For those of you who have inquired about camping.... you are very welcome to stay with us at the ranch at no additional charge! We have 20 acres to stake out your own campsite, and we will actively help you procure tents and RV's, sleeping bags, and equipment. We have a limited amount of tents/sleeping bags/cots, etc that we can lend you for the weekend as well. Just let us know what you need. Please check the Prog On The Ranch Facebook Discussion page for more info. If you're looking for more traditional accommodations, we recommend the Hampton Inn on Commercial Blvd in Spring Hill which is very reasonable and also includes breakfast.
"Prog On The Ranch" is a private event, which takes place on private property, and is by INVITATION ONLY. However, we want to see YOU here, so please contact us directly if you would like to attend.
There's ALWAYS room for one more!! :-)
See you at the Ranch!!!
