KABOOM! SPLATTER! WOW! These are just some of the sounds you’ll hear at the PST ART + Science Family Festival at La Brea Tar Pits, where art and science will collide in an unforgettable family-friendly event. The festival site will feature tented and outdoor spaces filled with interactive content for children and families to explore the rich and diverse art and science of Southern California. We invite you to be curious, be creative, and to come and join the fun!

The PST ART + Science Family Festival is presented by Getty, hosted by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County at the La Brea Tar Pits, and produced by Edinburgh Science Festival. The Family Festival is part of PST ART. The latest edition of this landmark regional event, PST ART: Art & Science Collide explores the intersections of art and science, both past and present. what kind of activities will there be?
There will be interactive workshops for all ages and children can participate together with their caregivers in many of them. There will be an outdoor stage with a rolling program of shows and performances throughout the day as well as our Street Science performers around the park. Look out for the full event program coming soon!
Where can I park?
There are a number of nearby lots on site and off. All guests will receive detailed parking information as part of a know-before-you-go email, so remember to RSVP.
is there food and drink on-site?
A range of food trucks will be available on-site. There is plenty of space to bring a picnic and relax inside the park.
