ABSTRACT: Ideally, public policy supports effective clinical practice, and the experiences of clinicians inform the development of public policy. Case managers can play a key role in providing input to the development and implementation of sound public policy. During this session, attendees will receive an up-to-the-minute report on key policy issues at the state and federal levels.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Identify current issues in state and federal public policy.
- Describe the implications of current policy issues for the practice of case management.
- Determine opportunities for advocacy and how case managers can inform policy development.
