Musical Acts
Brother Kent
Headliner
A musical road trip from the moonshine-slur of small town melancholy, to the crowded aloneness of the insomniac city, and through all the open highways that connect the two. Rock ‘n roll road songs, barnyard stomps, funky folk, and spacey laments are complimented with locomotive rhythm and scenic guitars—sometimes sweet, sometimes screaming. It’s Indie-edged Americana with storytelling always at the heart.
Sugaree String Society
Opening Act
An intimate, honest portrait of Appalachian folk music as it lives and breathes in our modern world, as it has for hundreds of years before us, and will continue to long after we’re gone.
John Rodney
Opening act
Outlaw queer country singer/songwriter. Blends elements of bluegrass, honky tonk, folk, and blues to tell the often unheard story of being queer in the rural south.
Special thanks to Foothills Brewing for contributing their distinctive
Fresh. Local. Craft Beer to the evening's festivities!
Thank you to Foothills Brewing

Just Why Are We Celebrating?
In the past twelve months, Redbird has launched our website; conducted a successful GoFundMe campaign; hosted a lavish Launch Party attended by over 100 enthusiastic theater lovers; presented two critically acclaimed productions to sold out houses; employed more than twenty regional theater artists; earned a spot in Durham Magazine's annual "Influencers" edition; established numerous partnerships with local businesses; amassed more than 500 subscribers; initiated a series of theater classes; and received almost 50 original script submissions from North Carolina playwrights (one of which will be produced later this summer) -- and we think that is reason to celebrate!

We look forward to raising a glass and sharing a fantastic night of music with you.
Here’s to RedBird’s high-flying future!

We are North Carolina artists.
We are proud. We work hard. We dream big.
We make theater.
 Join us on June 22
We look forward to celebrating with you!
