Friendships are the relationships we choose, and they thrive when we keep choosing them, even as life gets busy and full. We trust that a good friend will just know, without being told — but real closeness takes more than assumption, it takes attention. What does it look like to keep investing in the friendships that matter, so they only grow stronger over time?

Led by Rabbi Ari Sollish and Clinician Rebecca Brown, this program focuses on friendships — how people navigate conflict, shifting values, boundaries, and repair as life changes. Participants will learn a core idea from Rabbi Sollish: the difference between showing up from a lower self ("what's in it for me?") versus a higher self ("how can I be there for the other?"), and how that shift shapes healthy relationships. The speakers will also explore practical themes like empathy, conflict, healing, boundaries, and how relationships can shift and grow stronger over time, with the goal of leaving with something actionable.

Expect a warm, candid evening for anyone ready to look at friendship with fresh eyes, and the third and final session in Renewing Relationships, a three-part series from BeWellATL, on strengthening our connections with the people closest to us.

Light refreshments will be served.
