Join us in person to celebrate the career of MGySgt Michael D. Brown as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement after almost 29 years in the United States Marine Corps. It’s a special occasion to honor his dedication and service. Don’t miss this memorable event filled with stories, laughter, and heartfelt thanks!

The ceremony will occur on Camp Pendleton at the La Casa Stage at Del Mar Beach Camp Pendleton, CA on Friday, 22 May 2026 from 1100-1200. Food and drinks will be provided at the Pacifico Room at La Casa at Del Mar Beach immediately after the retirement ceremony from 1200-1600.

Attire Guidelines
- Designated personnel in the ceremony will be in Service Charlies.
- Recon Marines/Sailors: Please wear "Black on Black" Amphibious
  Recon or unit PT gear. If we served in a unit together, please wear
  that unit's shirt.
-Other Service Members: Please wear your unit PT gear shirt. If we
  served in a unit together, please wear that unit's shirt.
- Civilians and Other Guests: Comfortable beach attire is welcome.

On Base:  
Various lodging options can be found aboard Camp Pendleton to include Beach Cottages and Inns of the Corps. Reservations can be found and made at https://pendleton.usmc-mccs.org/lodging/beach-cottages/del-mar-beach-marina.

Off-Base:
Numerous off-base options can be found in the Oceanside, Carlsbad, and surround areas.

Anyone who does not have base access will be submitted for a visitor's request and are required to have a Real ID or other valid form of identification as outlined in the following link: https://www.pendleton.marines.mil/Staff/Principal-Staff/Security-and-Emergency-Services/Base-Access/#realid-requirement.  Upon arrival you will need to go to the Visitor Center between the hours of 0730-1530 located at Building 20255T, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 to get base access. 2. Reception has been shifted to Pacifico Room which is the upstairs portion of the MCCS La Casa del Mar facility beside where the retirement is occurring.

4.  For anyone that provided me their information for base access you will be able to provide your name, valid ID, and tell them you are here for MGySgt Brown retirement at Del Mar Beach, and you should have no issues getting on base between the hours of 0900-1100.  If you did NOT provide me your information and need base access, contact me ASAP so I can ensure you do not have any issues.
