Welcome Back!
On September 17, 2022, the Central Texas recovery community will host the Sixth Annual Recovery in the Park event at Mueller Lake Park in East Austin from 3 pm to 8 pm.
Over the past two years, we were sad to miss the opportunity to hold this event for the community, but we are back and better than ever. In prior years, the event has had an attendance of over 800 people, and now, with a bigger venue and more partners, we plan to grow this event past those numbers.
What is Recovery in the Park?
In 2015, a handful of recovery community organizations led and governed by representatives of the local recovery community saw a need that was missing in the Austin community and decided to do something about it. From there, Recovery in the Park was born. Each September during Recovery Month, this event brings out local musicians to share the stage with inspiring speakers from the community. Guests enjoy music while connecting with local recovery organizations at booths, gathering resources, engaging in fair-style activities and games, and eating FREE food we provide each year. And much more!
This FREE community event includes, but is not limited to:
Musicians playing from 3-8 PM
Guest Speakers
FREE Food & Drinks
Plus More Food Trucks
Mechanical Bull
Lakeside Fishing
Aerial Performer & Fire Dancer
Yoga with Meditation
Rock Climbing Wall
Fun Run / Walk
Drum Circle & Soundbath
Bounce House
Dunk Tank
Slip N Slide

and so much more...
Plus, each supporting organization with a booth will provide its own activity to make for endless opportunities to have fun with your friends and family!
This year, Recovery in the Park joins Big Texas Rally for Recovery to make it even bigger and better and bring out the masses to get a taste of what recovery can look like. All are welcome to attend, so bring out everyone you know. For more information about Big Texas Rally for Recovery:www.bigtexasrallyforrecovery.orgFor more information about Recovery Month:www.recoverymonth.govWhat is recovery?"Recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential." - SAMHSA
