About the event
Each year, “Rx for Fun” is when Auxiliary members and friends come together to raise money and awareness for a designated hospital project or department. Rx for Fun 2025 will benefit Hartford Hospital's Oncology and Lymphedema Program’s Project Illuminate, an advanced laser therapy treatment for breast cancer patients recovering from breast cancer surgery.

Join us on April 3rd at Thomas Hooker Live in Hartford! The evening will feature Savage Pianos - an interactive rock and roll request driven sing along – so bring your friends and your favorite song requests.
Get ready for a night of nonstop fun!

Enhancing Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and lymphedema care with advanced laser therapy
Breast cancer treatments, while life-saving, can leave lasting side effects that affect daily life. Many people experience uncomfortable issues like skin tightness from scars, heaviness in the arm or chest, hardening of tissues, and lymphedema—a chronic, sometimes painful swelling condition.

We’re raising funds to bring low-level laser therapy to our oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema programs. This cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment works at the cellular level to reduce swelling, ease pain, improve flexibility, and soften scar tissue. It can be combined with other therapies to help patients regain comfort, mobility, and a sense of normalcy.

Your support can help us provide this life-changing treatment to those recovering from breast cancer. Please join us at our Project Illuminate fundraising event to help us bring innovative healing to our patients—because healing is about more than just surviving; it’s about living well.
