In loving memory of Sam Kuykendall, we invite you to celebrate her life and legacy on Sunday, April 7th starting at 2PM at Kootenai County Fair Grounds, Building 1. Please join us as we honor the memories and cherish the moments we all shared with her. There will be cake and refreshments provided. As Sam would say, "the more, the merrier!"
Sandra “Sam” Kuykendall, 64, suddenly passed away on February 24th, 2024 after doing something she loved with someone she loved even more.

Sam was born on January 13th, 1960 to Wilma and Donald Aga in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was the third born of nine tight-knit siblings, to which she always remarked they could field a baseball team. After several moves throughout North Idaho in her childhood, Sam settled back down in Coeur d’Alene where she met the love of her life and husband, Butch, in 1978.

They were married on July 18th, 1981.

She spent two decades of her professional career selling what she loved; dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and four wheelers. Sam started sales at Allsport in 2001, where she worked to become the top salesperson year after year. Everyone that has encountered her says the same thing- she is always the first to greet you with a smile and always remembers your name. She was set to retire on March 15th of this year.

In her personal life, Sam carried the same passions. From snowmobiling into the cabin to dirt biking the trails all over, she was always down for an adventure. Whether you were in front of her or behind her, you could always catch a “woohoo!” of her enjoying the ride and her life. Any time she was asked what was being celebrated, she answered “life.” Sam had a passion for living, a never wavering love for her family and a created legacy that will live on in her memory forever.

Sam is survived by her devoted husband Butch Kuykendall, her son Nick Kuykendall, her daughter Kodi (Jared) Wilson, grandchildren Blake and Elizabeth Kuykendall, and dozens of loving siblings, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Jackson and brother, Scott Aga.
