Join Sapphic LA and ceramicist Ash Flores (she/her) for a an autumnal season social filled with clay, connection, and craft. This November, we're getting cozy with a candle holder workshop! Whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this is your judgment-free zone to create something that's all yours.

When: Saturday November 15, 1pm-5pm
The Program:- 1-2 PM: Mixer
- 2-5 PM: Pottery Workshop
Your Ticket Includes:- A 3-Hour Guided Workshop: Learn hand-building techniques from Ash Flores to craft your own unique, functional candle or incense holder—don't worry, we'll guide you on how to make it!
- All Materials: 1 lb of clay, and all necessary sculpting and decorating tools.
- Professional Glazing & Firing: We'll handle the messy part! Your creation will be glazed in a beautiful nutmeg hue and professionally fired.
- A Tangible Memory: Pick up your finished masterpiece in 30 days.
What You'll Do:Under Ash's expert guidance, you'll learn the basics of slab building and coiling to form your piece. Decorate it with textures and patterns to make it uniquely yours. Then, leave the drying, glazing, and firing to us!
The Nitty-Gritty:- Instructor: Ash Flores (She/Her) of @pottery.byash
- Pickup: All pieces will be ready for pickup 30 days after the event at Sorry Not Sorry (11520 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064). Pieces will be labeled with your name. This timeframe is non-negotiable due to the ceramic drying and firing process.
- Note: This is a hand-building workshop; we will not be using pottery wheels.

F.A.Q.Q: I'm a total beginner. Is this for me?A: Absolutely! This workshop is designed for all skill levels, especially beginners.
Q: Do I have to make a candle/incense holder?A: Not at all! While we will provide instruction for a pipe, you are welcome to use your pound of clay to create whatever you wish—a small dish, a figurine, etc.
Q: What if I can't pick up my piece in 30 days?A: Email

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to our media waiver, and to also pick up your artwork 30 days from the event date at Sorry Not Sorry during regular business hours. Sorry Not Sorry will only hold your pieces for 10 days (12/15-12/25) after which they will return the artwork to Ash for pickup coordination via email.
