Sauna | Sound Bath | Somatics
Sauna and Sobriety announces our three-part Spring Series at Embrace North: Sundays March 15, April 19, and May 17! Join for one, two, or three of them, see the details below by clicking on the "Get Your Ticket" button.

The third in the series is Sunday, May 17, 5:30-9 PM at Embrace North. Entry is $45 in advance and will sell out at 65 people. No worries if you can't make the entire timeframe—even 2-3 hrs is a great window to show up and join in community.

Jean Nitchals, Crystal Healing Collective, will be leading two 30-minute soothing sound bath sessions designed to deliver calming vibrations for a restorative mind-body experience. We will begin with a short meditation and breathwork, allowing your body and mind to relax into your yoga mat. From there, you will feel the power of deep relaxation through a sound bath with Crystal bowls, the depth of sound through a Gong, and other sound instruments representing the ocean, rain, and wind as you lie down in a comfortable position. The experience is designed to bring your mind, body, and spirit into balance. All levels are welcome. Bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes.

New to S&S events, Jen Veralle, a certified sauna guide in the Revivery method of hot and cold contrast therapy, will offer guided sessions throughout the evening, no sign up required. Three saunas will be going -- two open steam community saunas -- and cold immersion will be available in Embrace North’s state-of-the-art chiller pool. 40 degrees folks!

Nonalcoholic beverage excellence will be free and flowing all evening long by Jen Veralle, Mindful Drinking Movement, and will include Sauna Water, EVEN Bev, Fresh Steeps, and Tenneyson. And we'll have nourishing eats -- all included in the ticket price.

Jean specializes in sound healing, an ancient wellness practice dating back thousands of years, has been linked to reductions in stress and anxiety. Sound travels through water four times faster than it travels through air, and since our bodies are mostly composed of water, many believe that sound helps us recalibrate.

OUR MISSION: Sauna and Sobriety, founded in May 2023, exists to introduce sauna to new audiences as a holistic experience that includes a collective welcome and somatic healing practices, conversation in community, and a supportive alcohol-free environment. Our events invite people in who might have anxiety, hesitation, or disinterest in our typical adult social experiences, and delivers a healthy social experience that makes connection and healing possible.

We recognize sobriety is a lifelong journey to be done in community and that we all have something to learn and gain from one another in this space. We seek to create a space for the sober necessary to the sober curious and everyone in between who wants to experience a substance-free event. We address all forms of sobriety ranging from being substance-free to emotional sobriety.
