Severn Community Guardians: A Paint and Sip with Civic Leaders & Community Members
Join us on June 18
As a part of the Juneteenth Commemoration, Maryland artist Nikki Brooks will lead community leaders and community members in a collective art activity to reflect on their "guardians." For Brooks, guardians are those ancestors and late civic leaders who continue to guide us today.

The workshop is part of Brooks' work to unearth Severn's guardians to potentially be included on the mural she has been commissioned to create by the Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. on the new Severn Intergenerational Center.

A light lunch, painting supplies, and a reflection by artist Free Yahhoh Bangura on bridging civic and community leadership will be provided. NO ART EXPERIENCE is necessary to participate--just an open heart.

This event is free and open to the public. However, space is limited and RSVP is required.
