Securing the Future through Zero-Trust
In this presentation, we will delve into the evolving landscape of modern cybersecurity, emphasizing the necessity of presuming breach and the flexibility required to meet business needs. Through a detailed exploration of the Zero Trust Concept and the 7 pillars of its framework, this presentation outlines a comprehensive journey from initial preparation to advanced maturity, ensuring robust security and resilience.

Join us to discover how adopting Zero Trust principles can safeguard your organization in an increasingly interconnected and dynamic environment.

When Zero Trust meets SaaS – a new Challenge for Cybersecurity
In a time when cyber threats are ubiquitous, Zero (Implicit) Trust is often touted as the ultimate security paradigm. Skeptics argue that Zero Trust is merely "old wine in new bottles," and if you look under the hood, you’ll indeed find quite some elements that have been considered best practices for decades. These include strong authentication methods, user behavior monitoring, least privilege models, and good network segmentation.

Nevertheless, Zero Trust is more than the sum of its parts. It represents a paradigm shift by fundamentally questioning the trust placed in the internal network and other components. This also addresses the increasing prevalence of cloud services, mobile devices, and remote work to tackle these new challenges.

But what happens when Zero Trust meets the complex world of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)? A black-box application that demands exactly what should not exist in the ultimate Zero Trust universe: explicit trust. The presentation, occasionally provocative, highlights the challenges and pitfalls of implementing Zero Trust in the SaaS environment and beyond.

Navigating the Zero Trust Journey: Challenges and Insights
By engaging the participants to a dynamic discussion about their experiences with Zero Trust implementation, this interactive session will explore where organizations stand in their Zero Trust journey, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the obstacles they currently face.

  • We will exchange on where we each are in the Zero Trust journey
  • We will share our challenges.
  • Wrap-up: we will summarize key points discussed and take-aways

Join us to share your story, learn from others, and gain valuable insights to advance your Zero Trust strategy.

Implementing Zero Trust: Use Case Prioritization and Technology Selection
This roundtable discussion will explore practical applications of Zero Trust Security, focusing on prioritizing use cases and selecting appropriate technologies. Join us to discuss your experience on how you selected the use cases and technologies to start your Zero Trust journey.

At the beginning of this session, we will start with a brief introduction into the session and a short poll where the participants are currently in their Zero Trust journey. Afterwards, we will dive into the following topics:

  • Use Case Prioritization: How to prioritize Zero Trust use cases and where to start.
  • Technology Selection: How to select the right technology for my organization and how to reduce technology overlaps when using multiple different technologies.
  • Chances of Zero Trust: What are the changes of Zero Trust and is it even possible to reduce cost or minimize operational pain points.

Re-Thinking Cybersecurity
In 2024 the global spend on cybersecurity tools was $215 Billion, yet the number of security breaches from the previous year increased by 75%. With the advent of AI-generated threats, this will continue to increase, and no amount of money spent on the current approach is likely to make a dent. Now is the time to re-think the current approach to cybersecurity, and to consider an alternative mindset, taking in to account the common dependencies which all threats rely on, including AI threats.

Zero Trust is an approach to cybersecurity addressing the common vectors used by all threats, both traditional and AI. Cyber-resilience requires identifying the common traits that all of these threats exhibit, focusing our efforts on securing these common dependencies - rather than continuing to address the explosion of cyber attack methods one at a time.

This interactive session will address:

  • Signs of the times - the new risks and why they are not insurmountable
  • Key challenges for CISOs and security managers in the age of AI
  • How to identify and secure common dependencies which all cyber threats rely on
  • How to survive the inevitable breach, not simply preventing one
  • How to design a security architecture with business priorities as the focus
