About Sitka Cycling Club
The Sitka Cycling Club promotes safe and fun riding (of all types!) in Sitka, Alaska.

We advocate for safe riding conditions on the road and paths; encourage shopping by bike through the Bicycle Benefits program (get discounts on merch when you ride to a local business); and, beginning in 2020, we build single track trails for mountain bikers!

SCC is supported by donations from our community members and volunteer labor to build trails.
About our Single Track Trails
We are thankful to ride on beautiful Tlingit Aani amidst the hemlock, spruce and salmonberries.

In 2020, we built four trails with volunteer labor and donated materials. Clustered in the "Bear's House" area near Sitka High School and just off the Cross Trail, the four one-way trails create a fun and energetic loop for riders with a little more experience.

Xoots Deiyi, built by SCS in 2020, is a bidirectional trail connected to the complex that suits the beginning rider looking to learn.

Our Successes in 2020 & Goals for 2021 and Beyond
In 2020, we built four new single track trails: 907, Little Machete, Middle Machete and Ewok.
All are rated More Difficult.
In 2021, we will build three new trails (Easy and More Difficult ratings) in the Bear's House area plus a pump track (location TBD).
Our dream is to build an easily accessible single track network with a diverse array of trails to excite both the novice and experienced mountain biker.
