Cost breakdown:- T-shirts: about $10 a person for two shirts (1 camp shirt, 1 tie dye shirt)
- Camp fee: the camp charges about $50 a person to stay overnight for two nights
- Outdoor activities: the camp charges roughly $30 a person to guide in outdoor activities (nature crafts, slingshots, bucket brigade, canoeing, archery, rock climbing, etc.)
What is the day pass? The day pass is for children who are not staying overnight but would still like to participate in outdoor activities. The fee is lower as this pass does not accommodate for sleeping or the same number of meals.
What is the minimum age requirement?
Our minimum age requirement is 3 years old. However, if your child is younger and would still like to participate, we ask that a parent, grandparent, or guardian is present.
Are parents allowed to attend?Yes! Parents are welcome to attend as volunteers, however, due to restrictions set by Camp Roger, we will not be able to accommodate every parent. We are hoping to keep this camp youth-focused and in order to have as many children as possible, we need to limit parents attending. When registering, please keep in mind if you’re able to volunteer to assist with food, supplies, activities, etc. Otherwise, we ask that the limited parent spots be given to others.
Is the camp fee flexible? We are aware that some families may not be able to fund the full camp fee for their children. We’re more than happy to help accommodate any financial needs as the goal of this camp is to bring everyone together. If you or anyone you know is discouraged by the price, please contact us privately and we can help you get signed up for a free/reduced price! This is made possible because of our generous donors.
What if my child has special needs? We have planned many of our games and activities to be inclusive and would love for your child to participate. If your child is in need of an accommodation, we ask that a parent or trusted family member be present at the camp as we have limited camp volunteers. If overnight stay is difficult, we also offer a day pass for a lower fee. If you have particular questions regarding accommodation, please contact us so we can make you and your child’s experience as fun and engaging as possible.
Where are the donations going?Even with a $30 participant fee, we would not be able to pay for outdoor activities, food, supplies, etc. without donations. All donations will be used to collectively help fund camp.
Where is the leftover money going? It is unlikely that we will have leftover money, however, after using donations and the camp fee from this year’s fundraising, it will be used towards meeting the down payment and fees for next year's camp.
