Overview
Our slit lamp basic skill three-hour workshop is designed to provide healthcare professionals, particularly those in ophthalmology and optometry, with essential training on using their slit lamp in clinical practice for assessing, diagnosing, monitoring and educating their patients on ocular health and conditions.

The workshop will focus on the fundamentals of slit lamp operation, recognizing normal anatomy and structures and comparison with images of pathology, educate practitioners on key functionality of slit lamp and how to utilize different illumination techniques and perform them correctly, Improve practitioners ability to recognize abnormal findings with the support of presentation containing details images of pathology as we cover each major structure in the eye.

  • Understand the Components and Functions of a Slit Lamp:
  • Identify the main parts of a slit lamp and their functions.
  • Grasp the principles of slit lamp illumination and magnification.
  • Master Basic Slit Lamp Techniques:
  • Perform basic examination techniques including diffuse and direct focal illumination.
  • Identify normal and pathological findings in the anterior and posterior segments.
  • Implement Best Practices for Patient Safety and Comfort
