Presented by Eat More Scarborough and the Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area (BIA), get ready to dive into a curated lunch-time culinary experience in one of Toronto’s most vibrant neighbourhoods!

Two routes have been designed to showcase the incredible array of food offerings in the Downtown Yonge area. The two routes are: Eats on Elm Street and Culinary Crawl on Carlton. Join us for one, or both!

What to Expect:
✅ An Outdoor Guided Culinary Stroll: Explore delicious gems of the Downtown Yonge area with an expert guide who will lead you to mouthwatering bites and delightful sights.
✅ Art and Cultural Stops: Discover art, rich history and stories of the neighbourhood as we visit iconic landmarks.
✅ On-the-Go Food Breaks: Savour delicious snacks and small bites at each stop while you stroll the snowy streets of Downtown Yonge! This tour will be entirely on-the-go and outdoors without any sitdown stops.
✅ Mix and Mingle: Connect with fellow foodies as you share in the fun of discovering downtown Toronto’s diverse culinary scene.

A Few Things to Consider:
Dress for the Weather: This is an outdoor event, and it’s winter! Bundle up in warm layers and comfy shoes to stay cozy as we stroll.
⏱️ Come for the Lunch Hour: The tour routes are in the Downtown Yonge area, so we’re packing in a lot over 1 hour and we’ll make sure to get you back for your afternoon meetings.

Meeting Points will be in the Downtown Yonge area.

You will receive an email prior to the tour date with the meeting location.


How To Register:

1. Click the "Register" button on this page, select your tickets, and fill out the registration form.
2. If you're bringing someone else with you, we ask that you either fill out their information too. This is to make sure that we have everyone's emergency contact details.

3. After you complete the payment process, you will receive an email confirmation. A few days before the tour you will receive an email with details regarding the tour (e.g., meeting spot, what to bring, etc).
4. We will see you at the designated meeting point on the day of the food tour. Please arrive 5-10 mins early so we can validate your tickets.

• We offer two menu options - regular and vegetarian. We will not be able to make any other dietary accommodations. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].
• This is an outdoor walking tour (approx. 0.8-1 km) where we will visit 3-4 food stops along the way.
• Pricing is inclusive of the tour guide, the food, and gratuities. Drinks will be available for purchase at the stops and we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottles.
• This is a snow-or-shine event. Please be prepared for the weather conditions potentially changing by wearing layers and having proper winter gear (boots, gloves, scarves, toques etc.).
• We will only cancel in the event of a major snowstorm or if the City of Toronto issues an extreme cold weather alert - we will try to give you as much cancellation notice as we can - please monitor your emails for any notices. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we will issue you a full refund.
• Please bring your reusable containers to take any leftover food home after the event.

Accessibility Notes

• Most restaurants and stops are on the ground floor, but they may not have full accessibility features (e.g. self-opening door at the entrance)
• This tour will mostly be walking on sidewalks and pedestrian paths on the ground level. We may cross some busy streets like Yonge and Dundas streets. If you need us to provide you with a more detailed breakdown of the route to help you plan, please let us know.
• Note that because this tour is happening in the winter, we cannot guarantee the condition of the sidewalk, so please be prepared for snow, ice and slush.

Spiciness Note: Food served on this tour may range from a mild to medium level of spice.

Redeeming Gift Cards

• If you have an Eat More Scarborough Gift Card that you would like to use to book these tours, please email us: [email protected], tell us your gift card number and how many tickets you would like to buy.
• We will then redeem for the price of the tour and send you’re a special code to register that bypasses the payment page.
• If there is a difference between the value on the card and the price of the tour, we will need you to send us an e-transfer for the difference before you can complete the purchase.

Refund Policy

If you have registered but you cannot attend anymore and would like to request a refund, please note the following:
• We will issue a full refund, minus any credit card processing fees up to 72 hours before the start of the tour
• We will only issue a 50% refund between 48 and 72 hours before the start of the tour
• No refunds will be issued if the request is made within 48 hours before the start of the tour.
