Join us for a one-of-a-kind food tour that brings together culture, community, and cuisine in the heart of Scarborough. In partnership with City Councillor Neethan Shan and Canadian Tamils' Chamber Of Commerce (CTCC), this experience goes beyond food, it’s a celebration of identity, storytelling, and the vibrant South Asian communities that shape our city.
South Asian Heritage Month is a time to honour the histories, contributions, and cultures of South Asian communities across Canada. What better way to experience this than through food where every dish carries a story of migration, memory, and tradition?
This curated experience is designed as a dynamic journey through Scarborough’s food landscape. The tour begins with a warm, sit-down dining experience to ground the group in conversation and context, followed by time to explore a bustling local marketplace hub. From there, we’ll continue on foot to enjoy a beloved casual bite, before hopping on a short bus ride to our next stop featuring relaxed outdoor dining. Along the way, there will be opportunities to browse and discover local shops, ending with a sweet treat to enjoy together.

While stops are thoughtfully coordinated across the neighbourhood, transportation and pacing are designed to keep the experience seamless, social, and engaging.

How To Register:
1. Click the "Register" button on this page and fill out the registration form where we ask questions about your dietary restrictions and allergies, emergency contact details, etc. If you're bringing someone else with you, we ask that you fill out their information too.
2. After you complete the payment process, you will receive an email confirmation. A few days before the tour, you'll receive an email with details about the tour, including our meeting point, what to bring, etc.
3. We will see you at the designated meeting point on the day of the food tour. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can validate your tickets. The tour will start at 4:00pm sharp!

• This food tour is from 4pm - 7pm and we will visit 4 major food stops along the way.
• Pricing is inclusive of the tour guide, the food, and gratuities.
• This is a rain-or-shine event. We will be traveling by bus. However, please dress accordingly to the weather and be prepared for weather conditions potentially changing.
• If you have a small appetite, please bring reusable containers to take your leftover portions home.
Spiciness Note: Food served on this tour may range from a mild to medium level of spice.
Accessibility Notes:
• All restaurants are on the ground floor, but they may not have full accessibility features (i.e. self-opening door at the entrance.)
• If you would like to drive yourself to the stops, please let us know via email: [email protected] and we can send you the driving directions.
Refund Policy:
If you have registered but cannot attend and would like to request a refund, please note the following:
• We will issue a full refund, minus any credit card processing fees up to 72 hours before the start of the tour
• We will only issue a 50% refund between 48 and 72 hours before the start of the tour
• No refunds will be issued if the request is made within 48 hours before the start of the tour. You may request to transfer your ticket to another tour in our Scarborough Arts-sponsored tour series or to another person – just email us at [email protected] and we will send you a special code to do so.
