Spirited Way was conceived in 2023 - from our souls yearning to blossom, connect, and embrace the fullness of existence. Our aim is to transcend the ordinary and be a sacred gathering that might be described as a retreat, a transformative journey or a celebration of being.
The expansion that Spirited Way provides a platform for, is a soulful journey beyond the confines of our perceived limits, a deeply personal odyssey that, when woven with the paths of fellow seekers, catalyses a transformative shift within us and - ripple by ripple - throughout our communities.

Programme
At its core, the Spirited Way programme is an invitation to a deep personal exploration—a journey of releasing, of discovering consciousness, and of connecting with the essence of self for the purpose of understanding our place in the cosmos.
Each morning is a preparation of the body and spirit through a range of practices for the purpose of awakening presence, engaging the senses, cultivating peace, and setting intentions for the soul's journey.
The afternoons are devoted to ceremonies and shamanic rituals, embracing the wisdom of plant medicine and the cosmos, integrating their magic into our daily lives.
This journey symbolizes a process of death and rebirth—shedding the old self to welcome a new being, lighter, more insightful, and deeply connected.
After each process of rebirth, we celebrate life, our existence, and the joy of being.
This year, we are blessed with an additional day to deepen our presence and integration work, fostering real, transformative change in our lives through intimate workshops and expert guidance.

The Venue & Accommodation
Spirited Way 2024 is set to unfold in the enchanting environs of Aterra (www.aterra.pt), a venue that embodies the harmony of simplicity and the untouched beauty of nature. Nestled in a serene valley, Aterra is embraced by lush woodlands, verdant fruit trees, and expansive grasslands. This haven is a living testament to the principles of Permaculture, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistry and functionality through its vibrant gardens and a quaint working farm. The highlight of Aterra is its pristine freshwater lake, complete with a secluded beach, offering a tranquil retreat into nature.
Aterra's philosophy is centered on sustainable living, demonstrating that it's possible to coexist with the earth beneficially, by leveraging the bounty of the natural environment. This approach fosters a lifestyle that is both ecological and ethical, without compromising on comfort or quality of life.

Accomodation
Aterra features unique and soulful accommodation options for 20-30 people including cozy huts, creatively converted camper vans, traditional yurts, cabins and more, all designed with sustainability in mind. [Aterra Accomodation in the cost section below]
In addition, we have formed a collaboration with the adjacent property to provide enhanced accommodation options. Referred to as "quinta cabins" in the cost section below, this category caters to 15-20 guests seeking more comfort.
Continuing on the success of last year, we are also building a Spirited Way glamping experience. This site will feature tipis, each furnished with comfortable mattresses, rugs, and bed linens, creating an ambiance of rustic presence. This area will be supported by well-maintained, permanent toilet and shower facilities, ensuring a harmonious blend of convenience and immersion in nature. Normally the weather at this time of the year is perfect for outdoor activities, meaning sunny and warm yet not too hot.

Spirited Way is dedicated to creating transformative experiences as a non-profit event. Following the financial challenges of the previous year, which were overcome thanks to the generosity of many, we are adopting a more cautious approach to our budgeting this year. With the addition of an extra night to enhance the experience, there will be a modest increase in costs.
Accommodation Options and Pricing
For a comprehensive understanding of specs of each accommodation option available, please refer to the detailed descriptions provided in the accommodation section above. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the following categories:
- Own tent (Bring your own set-up): €800 per person.
- Glamping (in Tipis set-up by Spirited Way): €1,100 per person for double occupancy, with a €70 discount per person for triple occupancy.
- Aterra Accommodation (Huts/Yurts/Cabins): €1,300 per person for double occupancy, with a €100 discount per person for triple occupancy. [FULL]
- Quinta Cabins: €1,500 per person for double occupancy. [FULL]
These prices encompass not just lodging, but also all meals & beverages, spiritual practices, medicine, entertainment, logistical arrangements, and staff support, offering exceptional value. Most importantly, they include the invaluable opportunity to be part of a unique and transformative event.
Volunteering and Giving Back
For those wishing to actively contribute to the Spirited Way 2024 experience, volunteering opportunities are available. By joining the delivery team for one of four days, volunteers can reduce their event participation cost while giving back to this vibrant community. In the spirit of generosity that characterizes Spirited Way, attendees blessed with financial abundance are invited to enhance their contribution by adding €300 or any preferred amount to their payment. Your generous support will extend the opportunity to others who may not otherwise afford it and enrich the overall event experience for all.
