Join us for an evening of reflection, music, and storytelling as we celebrate 30 years of the Interfaith Health Care Association of Manitoba (IHCAM) and recognize the importance of Spiritual Health Awareness Week 2025.

This 90-minute showcase will feature:
  • Live music and artistic expression
  • Meaningful stories from spiritual health providers
  • A panel discussion on the role of spiritual care in health and healing
Whether you work in health care, spiritual care, or community support—or simply believe in caring for the whole person—this event is for you.

Admission is free, but registration is required.

Light refreshments will be served at the reception.

DR. CHRIS SUMMERVILLE
Chris was a pastor within evangelical Christianity for 20 years. The last 30 years he has been a national mental health leader here in Canada as the CEO of the Schizophrenia. He also has served as chaplain at McMaster University Medical Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. 
DR. CHRIS SALSTROM
Dr. Chris Salstrom is a Certified Spiritual Health Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in acute, chronic, and long-term care. She currently specializes in Dementia and Special Needs Dementia Care at Riverview Health Centre, where she also mentors students and teaches didactics. Chris is an Anglican priest serving part-time at St. Stephen and St. Bede Parish and lives in Crescentwood with her spouse and their energetic Jack Russell.
TIM FRYMIRE
EDUCATOR
Tim Frymire began his career in spiritual care in 1989, spending 17 years at St. Boniface General Hospital and 9 years as Coordinator of Spiritual Care at Riverview Health Centre, where he also led a Clinical Psychospiritual Education (CPE) residency. After retiring, he served as webmaster and educator with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS), where he continues part-time today.
Originally from Kamloops, Tim found his home in Winnipeg—with a large, blended family, two grandkids, and a pyre-doodle named Stella. Known for his humor and heart, Tim believes “life is too important to be taken seriously” and that spirituality is essential to caring for the whole person.

    Main visitor parking is available in the multi-level parkade located off Taché Avenue. This is the closest and most convenient option for access to the Research Centre.
  • Surface Lot E
    Additional parking is available in Lot E, located across from the Everett Atrium (limited spaces). Entrance via Dollard Boulevard.
  • Metered Street Parking
    Limited metered parking is available on surrounding streets, subject to City of Winnipeg parking regulations.
