We, the organizers of this retreat, are peers on a path to quieting our minds and cultivating awareness, and we have found that meditating together in a group can bring an expanded level of awareness and appreciation.

Most of us have busy minds that keep us thinking about the past or planning for the future. In mindfulness, we practice resting in the peace and joy of this moment.

This weekend retreat combines meditation, Dharma talks, yoga, breathwork, mindful movement, and community practice. Whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice, the weekend offers space to slow down, reconnect, and deepen your experience.

Restorative Breathwork Journey
This slower-paced session blends guided meditation, gentle functional breathing, and a calming soundscape to support relaxation and nervous system regulation. The practice emphasizes light, slow, nasal breathing and offers plenty of space for rest, reflection, and personal choice. Rather than trying to create a particular experience, we’ll practice creating the conditions where the body and mind can settle naturally.

Functional Breathing & Somatic Breathwork Journey
Join Mike for an experiential workshop exploring both functional breathing and somatic breathwork. We’ll begin with evidence-informed functional breathing practices to build awareness and regulation before transitioning into a guided somatic breathwork journey. Throughout the session, you’ll be invited to explore with curiosity, honoring your own pace and choosing the level of intensity that feels supportive for your nervous system.

Cultivate Calm
On Saturday in this mind/body class, Mary will help reset your nervous system to a place of calm and resilience. Using a blend of somatic practices, creative expression, breathwork/guided meditation and mindful reflection, we’ll guide you to soothe your nervous systems and reconnect with a deeper sense of ease.

Vibrational Upgrade
Mary will guide you in your journey home, to your true authentic self in present time, giving you tools and strategies to practice a high level of self-care and walk with focused, aligned intentions.

The workshop will include gentle yoga practice, meditation, guided imagery, and reflective journaling, all held in a sacred healing container that we will co-create.
WHAT TO BRING
Warm outdoor and sleeping clothes will be needed. Bathrooms will be shared, we recommend you bring shower shoes. More information below regarding accommodations.

MEALS
All meals are lovingly prepared by volunteer staff. Food is light and nutritious vegetarian fare that may include dairy and eggs. Food is served buffet-style. Coffee and tea are available all day. While we will try to have a variety of foods suitable for those with sensitivities to gluten and dairy, if you have special dietary needs you may wish to bring some or all your own food. All are welcome to bring snacks and other items to supplement the provided fare; note that refrigerator space in the kitchen is limited. Alcohol is not permitted.

SILENCE
Many retreats are done in silence. Being silent in a group setting allow us to practice focusing our attention without the distraction of making conversation. We will request silence during some parts of the weekend, such as during walking and sitting meditation and during parts of some meals. However, this weekend is also about connecting with others, and we hope that you’ll make new friends during your stay.

Some retreat residents may choose to participate for a part or for the entirety of the retreat in silence. We ask that all participants respect that choice and provide all silent participants with the space and privacy they desire.
