This coming October, Lighthouse Medical Missions is hoping to return to the Republic of Senegal, which is located on the western-most aspect of the African continent.
Senegal, whose capitol is Dakar, is home to 18 million people. It is known for its political stability and vibrant culture where French is the official language. The country is 92% Muslim, but it is not a “closed” country religiously. Christians make up a small percentage of the country’s faiths, but are welcome and do not suffer overt discrimination.
Although there are prosperous areas in Senegal, there is still a large underserved population that we are hoping to engage.
So, in an effort to meet these needs, we are planning on going to Senegal. BUT to accomplish this goal, we need others to partner with us financially.
Therefore, on June 13th, we are sponsoring our “STEPPING TO SENEGAL”, 5K, 10K WALK/RUN/BIKE event.
Thank you for considering supporting or participating this endeavor.
