Welcome to Stories on a Plate!  A student-led food club started by Mahika Chopra, a student at Shady Side Academy, Pittsburgh. The club’s mission is to celebrate culture through shared meals and the stories behind them — while giving back to the community through local food donations.

Join us for a special Stories on a Plate gathering inspired by the warmth of the Russian table - where comforting dishes, family traditions, and generous hospitality come together. We’ll prepare beloved classics like Okroshka, Olivier salad, and Pelmeni, recipes that have been shared across generations and are deeply tied to celebration, memory, and home.

After covering minimal ingredient costs, all proceeds will be donated to Sharpsburg Food Pantry.
