THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES

While Burhan and his coup forces have reinstated Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok; this agreement does not change the momentum and demands of the streets. We will continue to support the demands of the streets for a fully civilian-led transitional government with no military partnership, leading towards a democratic Sudan led by the people; for the people.

Resistance committees throughout Sudan have announced a Million's march for November 25th. This is the 5th Million's march since the military coup on October 25th. The goal of these marches is to resist the participation of military forces in the political process and show coup orchestrators and the world that we are not backing down. This recent agreement and jubilant responses from the international community minimize the people's voices and go against the demands of the people.

Coup forces have been ruthlessly violent in every way possible and are using excessive power to silence the people. In these last few weeks, they have shot live bullets at protestors aimed at their head, chest, and/or neck, used toxic tear gas*, and arrested many political prisoners— many of whom are leaders and activists on the ground. Since October 25th, the armed forces have murdered at least 40 protestors and injured hundreds more. We will not forgive these horrendous acts committed and are demanding that they be held accountable.

The #Nov25March is a day to honor the martyrs and show the determination of the Sudanese people to send a strong message to the military - the people do not and will not accept any form of governance that is not fully and completely civilian-led. No compromise. No negations. No partnership.

*Reports from the #Nov21March said that the teargas is more toxic, and people are recovering from stomach aches, body aches, fever, and diarrhea.

Twitter Blackout for Sudan
Click this link for the template Twitter thread and graphics you can share to get the hashtag #EndSudanBlackout trending.

The Twitter Blackout is a global day of action for Sudan to get the hashtag #EndSudanBlackout is trending so we make sure our revolution is televised.

WHY DO WE NEED A TWITTER BLACKOUT?

Over the past 3 weeks we have witnessed the continuous inhumane and illegal atrocities carried out by coup forces across Sudan.

Although challenging to receive information, reports from the capital have reported at least 39 martyrs, may Allah rest their souls, have been reported, hundreds injured, and many have been arrested as well as a brutal crackdown on journalists, activists, and anyone opposing the coup across Sudan.

As the internet shutdown continues, we expect the reported number of casualties to rise due to the limited reporting coming from other parts of Sudan which are also experiencing brutal attacks of civilians and mass arrests. The disconnect of Sudan from the world is making it challenging for international communities to hold coup orchestrators responsible or honor the martyrs by their names and the lives they’ve lived.

As the coup orchestrators continue to use brutal force to crackdown on any form of resistance, we want to make sure all eyes are kept on Sudan and we continue to mobilize our efforts in the diaspora to end the Sudan coup.

#EndSudanBlackout
Sudan has been under a military coup and complete internet and cell service blackout since October 25th, 2021. Military forces are shooting live ammunition, heavy tear gas and have been mass arresting activists.

For more than two weeks, the people of Sudan have been isolated from the world as they resist this military coup and demand their fundamental human rights to freedom, peace, and justice. The internet blackout aims to silence and disrupt access to information to minimize the protestors' efforts.

This internet blackout is an infringement on their fundamental human rights, but with your help, we can ensure that their voices remain spotlighted and centered.
