Act I - Open Mic storytelling. Put your name in the hat for a chance to share a personal, true story onstage.

Act II - Featured storyteller JAHMAN HILL.

Jahman Hill is an award winning poet, playwright, and professor. In 2018, Jahman claimed the title of 3rd best slam poet in the world, and in 2019 he wrote, produced, and starred in an award-winning one-man show, Black Enough, which played off-Broadway. Jahman Hill has become a sought after poet internationally. His poetry videos have garnered millions of views online. Jahman is a professor at the University of Alabama where he received Master’s degrees in both Communication Studies and Women’s Studies. The core of Jahman's creative work centers around “The Flourish”, or the idea that Black people are infinitely possible beings. https://jahmanhill.com/

Act III - Stories and Songs with Nashville's CHRIS CROFTON.

NASHVILLE FAMOUS: Shot across the better part of the last decade, Seth Pomeroy’s long-gestating portrait of Nashville-based comedian, writer, podcaster and political candidate Chris Crofton emerges from the shadows — covering its subject from ascent, descent, and ascent again.

I'M YOUR MAN: With his new album, I’m Your Man, Nashville's Chris Crofton has a simple goal - "I want to connect with listeners on a deep level, in plain language, just like the singer-songwriters of the 1970s connected with me."

Chris has spent decades on stage. As a solo singer-songwriter, he’s opened for alt-rock vets Deer Tick and The Handsome Family. He was an actor in New York before moving to Nashville in 2001 to form a band that performed drunken, memorable shows around the city for years. After sobering up, he embraced stand-up comedy and had a lengthy stint in LA.
Today he regularly writes insightful and humorous pieces for the Nashville Scene, an alt-weekly, and he published a book "The Advice King Anthology" for Vanderbilt University Press in 2022. His first solo album, Hello It's Me (Arrowhawk) was released in 2018.
