Throttle Company is hosting another Super Secret Campout, this time at Burr Oak State Park in Glouster, Ohio SEPTEMBER 26-27-28, 2025! That's 2 nights, 3 days.

*There is no organized group ride from Columbus to the Campout, but feel free to organize your own!* Check out the routes linked to get to the campsite, though!

We're limiting this campout to 30 TOTAL people.
We are occupying four campsites. Campsite #30 has electric, the others (#29-#28-#27) do not, but we will all be able to use the electric hook up at #30.

*WEATHER*
This event is rain or shine. Unless the campground actually closes due to weather, we will have the event. Weather can be unpredictable this time of year, plan to bring rain gear, if the weather looks like it's going to rain. In late September, it can get up into the 70s-80s and down into the mid 40s, possibly upper 30s. Plan for the possibility of it being super hot during the day and/or kinda chilly at night!

For $50/per person, we are providing:
Two nights of camping (bring your own everything!)
Route Maps for the area
LIGHT dinner & dessert Friday (hotdogs/chips)
LIGHT Breakfast Saturday (oatmeal, fruit, breakfast bars)
LIGHT dinner & dessert Saturday (tacos or meatball kebabs)
Some bottled water (unlimited drinking water at pump)
Firewood for cooking Fri/Sat and for campfire hangs
Event Shirt (with option to tie-dye at camp!)
*If you want to pay in cash, in person at Throttle Company, you will need to complete that payment within 5 days of your registration to reserve your spot. Thank you for understanding!

*In the nature of communal dinners and based off of the last few campouts, feel free to let us know if you want to help cook, provide snacks or a side dish or whatever. That worked out GREAT last year!*

Campground includes:
heated showers/flush toilets (.085 mile, about a 10 min walk, somewhat uphill.)
drinking water pump (adjacent)
Pit toilet (adjacent)

Parking: There are paved parking pads near each campsite. It does not matter which spot you park on. There is also a specific parking lot adjecent to the tent spots and can also be used.

What's NOT included?
Alcohol (though BYOB allowed AT your campsite)
Lunch Saturday or ANY meals Sunday
Caffeine
Cabins (if you choose to rent one or stay nearby)
Entry costs to anything other than the campground itself

Hammocks ARE allowed, but there are limited suitable trees at this group site. First Come, First Served! These spots are not guaranteed to have hammock suitable trees.

If you need an RV or toy hauler spot, or want to rent a cabin you will need to rent your own spot at the campground (or another local campground). This link goes directly to the Burr Oak Reservation system, be sure to adjust for the right dates!
This cost is in ADDITION to the Throttle Co Super Secret Campout Fee and your location in relation to the group camp location is not guaranteed. If you end up getting your own spot, let me know and I'll send you the amount needed to cover the tshirt, dinner, campfire, etc.

Quiet time 10p-7am (reminder, this is a State Park and not a private campground).

There will be no field games, etc due to the State Park nature of the campground.

Burr Oak State Park is located in the Hocking Hills/Zeleski State Forest Region of South East Ohio. Burr Oak State Park epitomizes the wilderness character of southeast Ohio.

Miles of forested ridges and hollows comprise these foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The woodlands support a variety of wildlife including white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, box turtles and the elusive wild turkey. The lake's shore is inhabited by the industrious beaver and various waterfowl species.
Home to hiking, ancient burial mounds and beautiful scenery, the riding in this region is also going to be awesome with Zaleski State Forest, Moonville Tunnel, geological formations, theres tons to see and do.
If you "just" want to ride, the Hocking Hills, Zaleski Zipper (and other Ohio's Windy 9 routes), Tiple Nickle and more are close!
