Evolved from a mix of musical backgrounds, rich in experience, Sweetbender is experimenting with a new, sophisticated sound that is sure to grab your attention. The culmination of artists such as Todd Huth and Jay Lane, both original members of Primus, and Christopher Frey who played with Todd in the band Porch, sets the stage for music that exudes their unique musical cadence and flow. Vocalist Michelle Strand completes the vibe with an intense and unexpectedly soothing tone. This is intended to be an intimate event, in order to provide a unique musical experience where fans can interact with the artists.
Nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, Mia Nova Vineyards is becoming home to amazing outdoor performances by incredible artists. Set among redwoods and vines, this relaxed and private gathering makes for a fantastic afternoon of good music and entertainment.

More about the Artists:Todd Huth - Guitar and Vocals
Todd was an original member of Primus and Sausage with Jay Lane and Les Claypool. From there, he formed the band pOrch out of Oakland, Ca. His guitar style is quite distinctive, combining creative use of dissonance with heavy distortion.
Jay Lane - DrumsJay is a former member of both Primus and Sausage, with Todd Huth and Les Claypool. Since then he has played with a number of bands, and is, most notably, a founding member of Bob Weir’s Ratdog. Jay currently performs in Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros.
Christopher Frey - Bass GuitarAfter crossing paths with Todd Huth in San Francisco (from Nashville), Christopher became the bassist for pOrch. Years of playing in many different genres has led Frey full circle, where he is back together with his buddies Huth and Jay Lane, excited to make a glorious racket once again.
Michelle Strand - VocalsCollaborating over the years with Todd Huth, Michelle adds her exceptional voice to incredibly dynamic works of music, creating unique and rewarding representations of beauty and sound.

- Parking is limited at this venue. Please carpool if possible. Overflow parking will be across the street at the Redwood Elementary School. The parking lot access is located on HWY 9. You can walk through the back of the school to get to the venue on Mitchell.
