John Wyatt

Professor Emeritus of Neonatal Paediatrics, Ethics & Perinatology at University College London
John Wyatt is a doctor, author, speaker, and research scientist. He is Emeritus Professor of Neonatal Pediatrics at University College London (UK) and worked for more than 25 years as a consultant neonatologist in central London, caring for sick and extremely premature infants. He also conducted medical research focused on developing new treatments to prevent brain injury in newborn babies.

Dr. Wyatt has a long-standing interest in the ethical dilemmas raised by advances in medicine and technology and has frequently engaged in public and professional debates on bioethical issues at the beginning and end of life. His book, Matters of Life and Death – Human Dilemmas in the Light of the Christian Faith, has been translated into more than ten languages. Christopher Joseph (Joy Gill)

Interim lead pastor, the met
Christopher “Joy” Joseph (also known as Joy Gill) currently serves as the Interim Lead Pastor at The Met, while also overseeing the Operations and Missions portfolios. Remarkably, it was a missionary supported by The Met who led Joy to the Lord in India in 2007. He often describes himself as a fruit of The Met’s missions, and now considers it a privilege to provide leadership to the very ministry that played a formative role in his faith journey.

Joy is a graduate of Delhi University and holds a Master of Divinity from Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, India. He has also completed NGO Management studies through Indira Gandhi National Open University, and is a graduate of the Global Proclamation Academy’s Expository Preaching School, hosted by Dallas Theological Seminary (Texas, USA).

Prior to moving to Canada, Joy served as a pastor in North India, where he planted and shepherded two churches over a 12-year period with Delhi Bible Fellowship. In 2018, he founded Life Tree Foundation (LTF) and served as its Executive Director. LTF is a Christian charitable organization focused on educating underprivileged children, with additional programs in food and nutrition, medical and healthcare support, care for women and widows, assistance to the homeless and differently abled, and emergency relief and rehabilitation across India.

In 2021, Joy also founded the North India College of Christian Studies (NICCS), a non-residential Bible college providing theological and ministry training to Hindi-speaking pastors and leaders, with a focus on Kingdom work in North India. The college is now led by one of The Met’s missionaries who is locally based in India.

Joy is also a gifted songwriter, composer, and singer, producing Christ-centered and culturally relevant Hindi Christian music. In addition, he has served as a trainer with the Redeemer City to City Church Planting Network in India.

Joy is married to Sapna, a healthcare administrative professional who currently enjoys raising their daughter Ariana and their son Upkar. While both Joy and Sapna enjoy meeting people, Sapna especially loves exploring seafood and discovering new places.
